Today marks 6 months since I joined Etihad, and alittle more than 1.5 years away from Singapore. In the last 6 months, I've picked up basic Arabic, been to the doctors for more different ailments than in the last 5 years put together, watched more DVDs than anyone I know, cried alittle, laughed alot, and came to the decision that it's time for me to return to Singapore. I've learnt to save, to cook, to live with strangers, to rely on myself, to have faith in others, to say no. I gave up pretending that I enjoy drinking, spending money on frivolous items all the time, going to clubs for the sake of going, and blaming myself when friendships come to an end. I have a fairly certain idea of what I want to do upon my return, I have a back up plan if that fails, and I know where my life is headed. I cannot ask for more.
