Look who's Sky Nanny! On top of getting this detailed certificate stating that we are trained in positive management of children's behavior on board and similar stuff, we get our own aprons with our names sewn on, how neat is that!
Celebrated by stuffing my face with pizza and buffalo wings at Nana's place while chatting with her, a mini-celebration of sorts for her 21st birthday (Jia, remember to wish her via Friendster or something, it's on the 21st). Everytime I speak to them in Area 51, I'm struck by how mundane (ok, boring) my life in Bahrain has become. The other Singaporean girls that arrived in Bahrain at the same time are still hanging out at clubs, meeting people and learning about the Bahraini lifestyle, whereas the most exciting thing that usually happens to me on my off days is doing my laundry. Old liao!
I'm very proud of the fact that for the whole of my Sky Nanny training, I brought my own lunch! Although my lunch looks bad and tastes worse, I'm still very excited that I managed the discipline to wake up at 6a.m. to make up a lunch box,for 4 consecutive days now. Now, to make the food I cook palatable to people other than myself...
